Student Testimonials

Through my other academic courses, particularly in science, I have learned that art has sharpened my skills as an observer. If you think about it, the process of creating artwork is largely comprised of observing, in addition to execution. Everything seemed to fall into place; I realized that my artistic abilities could be exercised in a variety of fields. This recognition was what finally compelled me to take AP Studio Art this year. Since then, I haven't looked back.

I knew going into it would be time consuming, challenging and tedious, but I had no idea how rewarding it would be. With each piece I could feel myself becoming more comfortable with my materials and when I finished I was more satisfied with the end result. However, what I did not expect was how much the course would challenge my creativity as an artist. At first I struggled to think of ideas for piece that I had to complete in seven days or less in order to stay on track for the course. I thought I would get harder to think of ideas the more pieces I did, but it actually became easier. I think this is because my creativity as an artist had advanced and I was better able to problem solve and think of more diverse ways of expressing my inner thoughts and ideas. What is so amazing to me about art is that through it I am able to express the inner workings of my mind that cannot be expressed in words. Looking at a piece of someone's work is like taking a trip into their mind for a moment and seeing things in thief perspective without even speaking to them. AP Art was by far the most rewarding class I have taken at 十大最大的网络彩票平台 and it truly made me a better artist and a more creative thinker which I think will serve me will in my future endeavors.

The Art Scholars Program has been important to me because by taking many art classes I have learned to broaden my mind and understanding of topics both in and outside of the classroom. Art has taught me to think outside the box to be more creative and innovative in all my endeavors. This class has taught me to have a good eye for the beautiful things in life and I am now more than ever inspired to follow my passion. I think that studying art is important because it really relaxes the mind and offers new perspectives on the world around us. It also helps to build creative thinking skills that can be applied to many fields of study.

When I first joined the art track, all I could think about was how my skills would improve and I wanted to be a part of something that I would enjoy doing and relaxed me but challenge me and test my skills at the same time. The art track has helped me learn how to work quickly and efficiently and to manage my time to the best of my ability. Finishing a project and moving on to the next is always exciting to me because spending too much time working on one project can get boring and exhausting, but working at a fast pace has resulted in me getting more done and has helped me with my artistic skills. Just like working on a paper, when you get to finishing a project, it is such relief and a rewarding feeling. Being in the art track has helped me to think outside of the box and to be more creative even outside of the classroom. I now notice the little things around me like in nature and objects. I am able to see things from a different perspective and when I look at famous artworks, I notice the little details and brushstrokes that make up each piece. Overall, the art track has been an amazing learning experience for broadening my skills and becoming a more creative person.
